Wer nicht auf einem Meditationskissen auf dem Boden sitzen m\u00f6chte, kann auf einem Stuhl sitzen.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"lh-1 font-size-15\"><br \/>\n<\/span>Leonard Cohen, einer der beliebtesten Musiker und Dichter der Welt, ber\u00fchrte die Herzen unz\u00e4hliger Menschen rund um den Globus. Ende der 60er Jahre lernte er seinen <b>Zen-Meister Joshu Sasaki Roshi<\/b> kennen, der sp\u00e4ter sein engster Freund und Weggef\u00e4hrte wurde. Nach 25 Jahren meditativer Praxis zog sich Cohen sechs Jahre lang in die Einsamkeit eines Zen-Klosters zur\u00fcck und wurde zum Zen-M\u00f6nch (M\u00f6nchsname &#8222;Jikan&#8220;) ordiniert &#8211; eine entscheidende Zeit seines Lebens, in der die spirituelle Praxis seinen kreativen Prozess neu entfachte.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Auf diesem Seminar werden die beiden Freunde und Zen-M\u00f6nche Koshin Chris Cain und Shingen Jan Gaensslen* dar\u00fcber reflektieren, wie Cohen seine Zen-Erfahrungen in seinen Songs pers\u00f6nlich-poetisch ausdr\u00fcckte.<\/b> Manche seiner Texte sind eindeutig auf den Zen-Weg und die Lehre seines Meisters Joshu Roshi bezogen, h\u00e4ufiger jedoch sind es einzelne Zeilen und Strophen, die wie kostbare Juwelen in Cohens Werk verwoben sind.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><i><span class=\"font-size-26 lh-1\">Content<\/span><\/i><\/div>\n<div><i><span class=\"font-size-26 lh-1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><i>This one-day seminar sheds <b>a poetic light on the Zen Buddhist tradition<\/b> while introducing us to t<b>he human being and spiritual seeker Leonard Cohen<\/b>. It includes an <b>introduction to Zen meditation<\/b>. No previous experience is necessary for this. If you don&#8217;t want to sit on a meditation cushion on the floor, you can sit on a chair.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Leonard Cohen, one of the world&#8217;s most popular musicians and poets, touched the hearts of countless people around the globe. At the end of the 1960s he met his <b>Zen master Joshu Sasaki Roshi<\/b>, who later became his closest friend and companion. After 25 years of meditative practice, Cohen retreated into the solitude of a Zen monastery for six years and was ordained as a Zen monk (monk&#8217;s name &#8222;Jikan&#8220;) &#8211; a pivotal time in his life in which spiritual practice re-ignited his creative process.<\/p>\n<p><b>At this seminar, the two friends and Zen monks Koshin Chris Cain and Shingen Jan Gaensslen will reflect on how Cohen personally and poetically expressed his Zen experiences in his songs<\/b>. Baldy Zen Center&#8220;.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"lh-1 font-size-15\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"lh-1 font-size-15\"><b>Koshin Christopher Cain<\/b>, geb. 1965 in London, wuchs in England und sp\u00e4ter in North Carolina, USA auf. 1990 zog er in das Kloster &#8222;Mt. Baldy Zen Center&#8220; in Kalifornien, wo er unter Zen-Meister Joshu Sasaki Roshi M\u00f6nch wurde und 1999 von\u00a0 zum Osho (Priester) geweiht wurde. Koshin ist heute der vorstehende Abt und Lehrer des Puget Sound Zen Centers in den USA und des Rinzai Zen Senters Oslo in Norwegen.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"lh-1 font-size-15\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"lh-1 font-size-15\"><b>Shingen Jan Gaensslen<\/b>, geb. 1970 in M\u00fcnchen, praktiziert Zen-Buddhismus seit 1991. 1994 zog er in das Kloster &#8222;Mt. Baldy Zen Center&#8220;, wo er unter dem Zen-Meister Joshu Sasaki Roshi die M\u00f6nchs-Ausbildung durchlief.\u00a0 2003 wies Roshi ihn an, zur\u00fcck nach Deutschland zu ziehen, wo er heute in Berlin eine Zen-Gruppe leitet und Klavier unterrichtet. Er hat einen 18-j\u00e4hrigen Sohn und eine 9-j\u00e4hrige Tochter.<br \/>\n<i><br \/>\n&#8222;Ich gebe zu, dass ich mir manchmal einen Grund ausgedacht habe, an Leonards T\u00fcr zu klopfen. In 1994 he moved to the &#8222;Mt. Baldy Zen Center&#8220; monastery, where he trained as a monk under Zen master Joshu Sasaki Roshi. In 2003, Roshi told him to move back to Germany, where he now leads a Zen group and teaches piano in Berlin. He has an 18-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;I admit that I sometimes made up a reason to knock on Leonard&#8217;s door. He always invited me over, often read me the latest verse of whatever he was working on&#8230;&#8220; <b>Koshin<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#8222;Leonard once confided to me that Roshi had asked him to write poems about the relationship between incomplete and complete love.
