KW-02-2021: #Phil_Spector ist tot. Der einstige Produzent von Leonard Cohen`s Album „Death Of A Ladies` Man“ (1977) ist mit 81 Jahren am gestrigen 16.1.21 gestorben. Verdacht auf Covid19. Cohen nannte ihn 1979 bei seinem ZDF Special – Concert: The great genius of darkest Hollywood, als er seinen Song „Memories“ vorstellt, ein Song aus dem Album, das Phil Spector produzierte.

KW-02-2021: Every picture tells a story – The story behind the photo of #Leonard_Cohen_and_The_Sisters_Of_Mercy Band_Leader #Andrew_Eldritch

The Story behind: the photo is taken in June 1994 on the roof of #Kempinski – Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg/ Germany. Leonard did a few interviews to promote his Live Albm „Cohen Live“ (1994). Me, I was an interviewer. And after, there was the interview between #Leonard_Cohen und #The_Sisters_of_Mercy Gründer #Andrew_Eldritch. I was glad to had the opportunity to meet and photograph both artists. The whole interview (in German language) is published in my first Leonard Cohen-Biography calles „Partisan der Liebe“ from 1996. KW-02-2021: Der Klang der Worte – Der Podcast als Stilmittel – Die Cohenpedia hat jetzt eine regelmäßige Podcast-Reihe – Teil 2/ 2021

The „Corona Times“ eignen sich u.a. zum Recherchieren, Schreiben und Archvieren. Einmal die Woche lade ich hier einen kleinen Podcast hoch, mal etwas Aktuelles Neu aufgenommenes, mal etwas Altes aus dem Archiv….

Beginne ich mal mit einem Griff ins Archiv:

I. Einführung/ Introduction

Laut Wikipedia bezeichnet „Podcasting“ das Anbieten abonnierbarer Mediendateien (Audio oder Video) über das Internet. Der Begriff setzt sich zusammen aus der englischen Rundfunkbezeichnung Broadcasting und der Bezeichnung für bestimmte tragbare MP3-Spieler, iPod, mit deren Erfolg Podcasts direkt verbunden sind und die heute stellvertretend für jegliche tragbare MP3-Spieler stehen. Ein einzelner Podcast besteht aus einer Serie von Medienbeiträgen (Episoden), die über einen Web-Feed (meistens RSS) automatisch bezogen werden können. Alternativ sind Podcasts auch unter dem markenneutralen Begriff Netcast bekannt. In unregelmäßigen Abständen produziert der Autor podcasts zum Thema Leonard Cohen, Cohenpedia und anderen Singer/ Songwritern in der Tradation Leonard Cohens und/ oder bietet podcasts aus seinen Radio-Sendungen aus seinem Archiv an. Es gibt eine fröhliche, lustige, erotische und entzückend filmische Szene mit Niema, Leonard und seinem Freund, dem Dichter Irving Clayton. Es ist so entwaffnend menschlich in seinem Portal von Leonard – seinen Gefühlen, Herausforderungen, Sprachen und Sehnsüchten – und doch auch brillant, als er die Welt als Dichter lebte und sah, und so wurde das Leben ein Gedicht um ihn herum. Ein Gedicht, das wie Leonard gleichzeitig ernst und lustig ist und auch spirituell, sexuell und all die Dinge, die er war. Und sie war das Mädchen in diesem Gedicht.

There’s an exultant, hilarious, erotic and delightfully cinematic scene with Niema, Leonard and his friend, the poet Irving Clayton.
