Also on “Believe” – a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” a song often associated with religion despite that not necessarily being the songwriter’s intent. At his 2010 induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Cohen said: „The ‚Hallelujah,‘ the David’s ‚Hallelujah,‘ was still a religious song. So I wanted to indicate that ‚Hallelujah‘ can come out of things that have nothing to do with religion.” Bocelli’s version is big on faith: “The melody was singing inside myself as a prayer – that’s how I felt it.”
