KW-46-2020: Am 12. November 2020 feiert Neil Young seinen 75 Geburtstag. Happy Birthday. Früher feierten die Feuilletons immer nur runde Geburtstage, jetzt scheine diese Angst zu haben, dass ihnen die Geburtstaghabenden vor dem nächsten runden Geburtstag wegsterben?

US-Vize-Präsidentin Kamala Harris lebte 5 Jahre in Montreal und besuchte ebenso wie Leonard Cohen die Wetstmount High

Leonard Cohens Wurzeln werden immer in Montreal bleiben, ebenso wie seine Schulzeit. Cohen besuchte die Roslyn School und später die Herzliah High School und die Westmount High School. Er absolvierte die WHS im Jahr 1951. Danach besuchte er die McGill University. 1955 verließ er die McGill mit einem „Bacherlor Of Arts“-Abschluß.

 „Cohen sei ein „ausgezeichneter Schüler“ gewesen, sagte Roslyn-Direktor Nick Katalifos der MONTREAL GAZETTE im Jahre 2016.

Sein Jahrbuch zum Schulabschluss – Vox Ducum – zeigt, dass Leonard Norman Cohen stark in studentische Angelegenheiten involviert war. Er war Präsident des Studentenrates und gehörte auch dem Monorah Club, dem Art Club, dem Current Events Club und dem Y.M.H.A.

Im Schuljahrbuch der Westmount High School, gab Cohen in der Klasse von 1951 „Cheerleader“ als eine seiner Aktivitäten und Fotografie als Hobby an.

Die am 7. November 2020 gewählte US-Vice-Präsidentin Kamala Harris lebte als Teenager fünf Jahre in Montreal und machte Ihren Abschluß an der Westmount High im Jahre  1981.

US Vice President Kamala Harris lived in Montreal for 5 years and also attended Wetstmount High

Leonard Cohen’s roots will always remain in Montreal, as will his school days. Cohen attended Roslyn School and later Herzliya High School and Westmount High School. He graduated from WHS in 1951. He then attended McGill University. Cohen graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1955.

„Cohen was an“ excellent student, „said Roslyn director Nick Katalifos of MONTREAL GAZETTE in 2016.

His graduation yearbook – Vox Ducum – shows that Leonard Norman Cohen was heavily involved in student affairs. He was president of the student council and was also a member of the Monorah Club, Art Club, Current Events Club, and Y.M.H.A.

In the Westmount High School yearbook, Cohen listed „cheerleading“ as one of his activities and photography as a hobby in the 1951 class.

Harris spent five years living in Montreal and graduated from Westmount High School

On Saturday afternoon, 7th of novembre 2020, (4 years ago,  Leonard Cohen passed away), it was announced that Kamala Harris is set to become the first Black, South Asian woman elected vice-president of the United States.

Harris lived in Montreal for five years as a teenager and graduated from Westmount High in 1981.

Leonard Cohen was on Westmont High , too.
