More Infos about the A CRACK IN EVERYTHING – EXHIBITION in „ZEN & POETRY“ Vol. 2:
Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything
October 24, 2019 – August 2, 2020
Because of the shutdowns caused by the corona virus we have decided to restructure our 2020 program in Nikolaj Kunsthal. Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything will be extended and can be experienced at both Nikolaj Kunsthal og GL STRAND until the 2nd of August 2020. It’s still uncertain when Nikolaj Kunsthal and thus the exhibition will re-open, but we hope that the extension will give as many people as possible a chance to experience the exhibition or to revisit it.

The exhibition Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything premiered in the fall of 2017 in Montréal, and was later presented in the spring of 2019 at the Jewish Museum in New York. Following its Copenhagen showing, it will travel in 2020 to the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. The exhibition can be seen at Kunstforeningen GL STRAND and Nikolaj Kunsthal from October 24, 2019 to April 13, 2020. One ticket will buy you access to both art galleries. During the entire exhibition, there will be a wide range of events, including talks, sessions, documentaries, yoga, concerts and intimate concerts organised by Kunstforeningen GL STRAND and Nikolaj Kunsthal.

Heute, am 25. Juli, ist „Die Nacht von Santiago“, der Festtag von Jakobus dem Großen (Santiago el Mayor, Jakobus der Ältere), dem Schutzpatron Spaniens.
Leonard Cohen widmete sich ihm in einem der Songs seines letzten Albums: Thanks For The Dance
Founder of Fleetwood Mac, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Green’s songs, such as „Albatross„, „Black Magic Woman„, „Oh Well„, „The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)“ and „Man of the World„, appeared on singles charts, and several have been adapted by a variety of musicians.
Green was a major figure in the „second great epoch“[4] of the British blues movement. B.B. King commented, „He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats.“

Anbei ein Artikel als Konzertvorschau, den ich 1998 für die RHEINPFALZ geschrieben habe. Cf war damals mein Namenskürzel für einige Redakteure, die „Platz“ sparen wollten und ungern Namen ausschrieben….
