KW-09-2022: Marillions new Album „An Hour Before Its Dark“ includes a song called “The Crow and the Nightingale” which is dedicated to legendary Canadian poet-singer Leonard Cohen. Marillion`s guitar player Steve Rothery has revealed this is his favourite song on the album. Marillion`s singer/ songwriter Steve Hogarth said in my and also in several other interviews: “Cohen is one of his favourite lyricists and this song was inspired by Cohen’s 2006 poetry collection „Book of Longing“. It includes the lyrics to Nightingale, from Cohen’s 2004 album Dear Heather.” – Steve Hogarth performed Cohen`s „Famous Blue Raincoat“ at Prog Rock Loreley Festival 2018 in Germany.
