KW-21-2021: Die 80 Jahre Bob Dylan-Woche geht zu Ende…begonnen hat sie mit einer Veranstaltung von Uwe Birnstein, der in Hamburg sein neues Buch über Bob Dylan und das Christentum vorstellte. Link zum Video-Stream hier …
Uwe Birnstein brachte 2020 ein Buch namens „Hallelujah“ über Cohens Bezug zum Christentum heraus. 2021 schickte er ein solches Buch über Bob Dylans Bezug zum Christentum nach. „Forever Young“, so der Titel. Am Geburtstag von Dylan, stellte der musizierende Theologe und Buchautor Uwe Birnstein das Buch in der Christuskirche Hamburg Altona live vor.

Ende Mai spielten Bob Dylan und Leonard Cohen an aufeinander folgenden Abenden im Mile One Centre, St. John’s, NL, Canada. Dylan trat dort zweimal hintereinander am 23. und 24. Mai auf. Cohen am 25. Mai 2008. Bei einem der Konzerte war Cohen mit seiner Band zu Gast. „Es war grandios“, erzählte er Brian D. Johnson 2008 im ROLLING STONE-Interview.
In late May, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen played consecutive evenings at the Mile One Center, St. John’s, NL, Canada. Dylan performed there twice in a row on May 23rd and 24th. Cohen on May 25th, 2008. At one of the concerts Cohen was a guest with his band. “It was terrific,” he told Brian D. Johnson in a 2008 ROLLING STONE interview.

Cohen verglich Dylan 1988 in einem Interview mit dem MUSICIAN MAGAZINE mit Pablo Picasso: ,,Nobody is identifying our popular singers like Matisse or Picasso. Dylan’s a Picasso that exuberance range and assimilation of the whole history of music.“ In einem Interview 1992 fragte ich in Bezug auf seinen Dylan-Picasso-Bezug, mit wem er dann zu vergleichen sei, wenn Dylans malerisches Pendant Picasso sei: ,,Natürlich Matisse“.
