„In December of 2013, Leonard Cohen played what was to be his last show ever right here in New Zealand“, wrote NEW ZEALAND HEROLD on 11. of Novembre in 2016 in memorian to his tour finale. „The Grand Tour made a run of four shows in New Zealand with the final stop being in Auckland at Vector Arena, where he played a three-hour set.“
„After two-and-a-half hours he skipped from the stage to another standing ovation, but it was another 45 minutes before we let him go. For the last of four encores he departed from his own material to lead the audience in Save the Last Dance for Me. But the most appropriate sign-off came on the second encore. Famous Blue Raincoat normally ends, „sincerely, L Cohen“. This time he sang, „sincerely, a friend““, wrote John Roughan in NEW ZEALAND HEROLD.

Last September he told fans: „No tours in the foreseeable future“, and the following month he was making preparations to die.
Cohen, who passed away today (November 11), closed his final set in New Zealand with an encore consisting of I Tried to Leave You and a cover of the Drifters‘ Save the Last Dance for Me.

Das ist die Weihnachtsüberraschung für alle Ring- und Park-Rocker! Auf vielfachen Wunsch wird die aktuelle 2. Preisstufe für Rock am Ring und Rock im Park bis 12. Januar 2018 verlängert. Damit erhalten die Fans nunmehr ausreichend Gelegenheit sich direkt vor und auch nach den Feiertagen noch mit günstigeren Eintrittskarten für die beiden Zwillingsfestivals vom 1.-3. Juni zu beschenken. Bisher sind bereits rund 80.000 Tickets für die Open Air-Events am Nürburgring und in Nürnberg erworben worden.
Der Preis für ein Festivalticket bei Rock am Ring liegt in der aktuellen Preisstufe bei 169,00 Euro inkl. VVK-Gebühr. Der Festpreis für eine Park- und Campingkarte (General Camping), die separat erworben werden muss, beträgt 50,00 Euro inkl. VVK-Gebühr.
Bei Rock im Park beträgt der Preis für das Kombiticket aktuell 219,00 Euro inkl. Parken, General Camping und VVK-Gebühr.
Ab dem 12. Januar 2018, 22:00 Uhr erhöht sich der Preis für die Festivaltickets bei Rock am Ring auf 189,00 Euro inkl. VVK-Gebühr und die Kombitickets bei Rock im Park auf 239,00 Euro inkl. Parken, Camping und VVK-Gebühr.
